Objective
To obtain disruptive solutions in aircraft manufacturing by reducing emissions in the areas of material selection and handling, as well as in the most advanced manufacturing, testing and validation processes leading to a more sustainable and environmentally optimised industrialisation.

Description
The competitiveness of companies in the aeronautics sector increases the greater their capacity to adapt to change. In many cases, this capacity for adaptation translates into the ability to automate production or to have intelligent and interconnected factories, which makes it possible to increase the manufacturing rate and reduce costs.

The AIRE Project proposes to address various lines of research in different fields related to the area of aircraft structural engineering and the factories of the future in order to achieve greater efficiency in reducing the volume of CO2 emitted by the manufacturing and assembly activities of the sector and air traffic.

This project is subsidised by the CDTI with the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation and by the Next Generation EU funds, specifically by the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, established by Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of 14 December 2020.
